Touring Normandy by bike is the perfect way to discover its nature and heritage with complete freedom.

With 1,600 km of cycle routes and 700 km of greenways, Calvados offers an ideal playground for cyclists of all levels.

Whether you are traveling as a couple, with family, or with friends, each route reveals a different side of Normandy.

Cycle routes accessible to everyone

Normandy boasts five major signposted routes that traverse its iconic landscapes.

La Vélomaritime

La Vélomaritime connects Roscoff to Eastern Europe.

In Normandy, it allows you to ride along the English Channel coast as far as Mont-Saint-Michel and take in numerous scenic viewpoints.

La Seine à Vélo

La Seine à Vélo is a 400 km cycle route connecting Paris to Le Havre or Deauville by following the river.

Join the Normandy section starting from Vernon.

La Véloscénie

This route takes you through the heart of the Normandy countryside (the *bocage*) between Paris and Mont-Saint-Michel.

Along the way, you can see the great Mortain waterfall and the Château de Domfront-en-Poiraie before stopping at the Saint-Hilaire-du-Harcouët market.

La Vélo Francette

La Vélo Francette covers 650 km between Ouistreham and La Rochelle across 23 stages. It is a chance to discover Normandy, Pays de la Loire, and Poitou-Charentes.

Avenue Verte London-Paris

Set off to discover Normandy’s most charming spots along this 470 km route connecting Paris and London.

All these routes offer the chance to explore the D-Day landing beaches, the cliffs of Étretat, the Pays d'Auge region, and the loops of the Seine.

A getaway combining heritage, gastronomy, and nature

Along the way, you can make plenty of stops.

Discover local markets, meet Norman producers, and visit fishing ports or charming villages.

Stay in “Accueil Vélo” certified accommodation

Make your trip easier by booking an “Accueil Vélo” certified hotel in Caen a hotel specifically geared towards cyclists.

From here, you can easily reach the greenways, the D-Day Landing beaches, or the Côte de Nacre.

All our rooms are air-conditioned and feature a hospitality tray, a minibar, and a safe to ensure a comfortable stay.

Before hitting the road again, take the time to enjoy a delicious buffet breakfast featuring a selection of local products.
