La Ferme du Billy in Rots, 15 minutes from Caen
In a bucolic setting, take a behind-the-scenes look at how Norman cider and calvados are made during guided tours (Monday to Friday from 3 July to 2 September, €5).
Outside the summer months, the Ferme du Billy estate is open to visitors for free walks through the orchards to discover the Gothic chapel and the donkeys grazing peacefully.
Take advantage of your visit to the Ferme de Billy to sample the tasty brunch for which the estate is famous (Thursday to Sunday).
Domaine Dupont at Victot-Pontfol, 35 minutes from Caen
Located on the cider route, the family-run Calvados Dupont estate produces traditional farmhouse ciders as well as other local drinks:

Tip: you can visit the distillery and cellars free of charge all year round. Guided tours are also available from 1 May to 30 September, with a tasting session, at a cost of €5 per adult.
Le Lieu Chéri in Ouilly-le-Vicomte, 45 minutes from Caen
Alexandre and Pauline Desfrièches produce farmhouse cider, calvados, pommeau, perry, apple liqueur, cider confit and cider vinegar on a magnificent, typically Norman estate.
Take a tour of the farm to discover all the stages of production: from the press to the cider cellars, via the distillery and the calvados cellars. The guided tour ends with a tasting session.
