The Christmas market opens its doors from 26 November to 31 December 2022, on Place de la République, in the heart of the city.
A magical atmosphere
You are bound to find what you are looking for in the sixty or so chalets set up for the occasion on the city centre.
There will be something for everyone: gourmet products, handicrafts, decorations to prepare for the festive season, and a host of gift ideas to spoil those you love.
A month of festivities
The market will be inaugurated on Saturday 26 November 2022 and will see the famous Father Christmas strolling through the town, accompanied by his faithful elves.
Throughout the month of December, the streets will come alive with a thousand and one lights, street shows, festive activities, music and songs.

Practical information about the Caen Christmas market
The Christmas market is open every day:
- Mondays from 2pm to 7.30pm
- Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays and Sundays from 11.30am to 7.30pm
- Fridays and Saturdays from 11am to 9pm
- Closed on 24 and 31 December at 6pm.
- Closed on 25 December.
