On the occasion of the 75th anniversary of the landing, Move on the Beaches takes place from May 1 to September 28, 2019.

 

Schedule and place of departure Move on the Beaches

• Departure at 12:30 pm at the castle's bus parking lot, rue Montoir Poissonnerie, 400 metres from our Best Western PLUS Le Moderne hotel. Find the walking itinerary here or the driving itinerary here.

 

Program of your half-day on the landing beaches

You will be transported in a 30 seat minibus equipped with air conditioning and wifi. Audio presentation of the circuit realized, proposed on board between Bayeux and Pointe du Hoc. Possibility to buy a D-Day Box for 39.90€, available on board the bus (box including the map of the landing sites, a pre-loaded MP3 player with comments in French, English or Dutch lasting 20 minutes on each site and a souvenir gift).
 

• La pointe du Hoc: 30-minute break
• Omaha beach: passage along the 10kms of beach
• The American Cemetery: 45-minute stop
• Long on the Sea: 20-minute stopover
• Arromanches: 30-minute stop
• Return to Caen scheduled between 7pm and 7.30pm

 

2019 Move on the Beaches rates

• 40€ per adult
• 30€ for students and people over 60 years old
• 20€ for children under 10 years old
• Free for children under 5 and veterans

Tickets can be purchased on the bus in cash for 40€ per person.
Discounts are only valid on the online site or at the tourist offices.
