Freedom Marathon, Normandy Running Festival

The Courants de la Liberté were created in 1988 to pay tribute to D-Day events through sport and in particular running. This year, the Courants de la Liberté becomes the Marathon de la Liberté.
The courses of the events cross several high places of the D-Day and the Battle of Normandy such as the beaches of Juno and Sword, the Casino of Ouistreham, the Pegasus Bridge, etc.

Nearly 30,000 people are expected for this 33rd edition which will include 7 events to allow everyone to participate regardless of their level of practice.

The Pegasus - 21,1 km

Sunday 14 June - Departure from Bénouville at 8.55 am
The mythical half-marathon will start from the famous Pegasus Bridge.
 

The 10 km - Crédit Agricole Normandie

Sunday 14 June - Departure from Caen at 8.40 am
A short distance with a very rolling course 100% urban.
 

La Rochambelle - 5 km

Saturday 13 June - Departure from Boulevard des Baladas at 7:00 pm
A women's walk and run for the fight against breast cancer.
 

The Freedom Rollers - 2 km

Saturday 13 June at the Parc des Expositions in Caen from 10.30am to 12.30pm.
The 2-hour race hike on a closed and secure circuit.
 

The Freedom Strides

Friday 12 June - Departure from the Louvigny greenway at 10am and 2.30pm
The school event brings together 4000 children from schools in Caen.
